I made this film with one of my students. I told them I wanted to take their photograph, but I behaved as if I didn’t know how to take a good picture. At the same time, I kept reprimanding them for not knowing how to pose. Gradually, I saw hatred grow on their face a kind of hatred I recognise in the faces of many ordinary people in the city every day.
I studied filmmaking and love theatre, but I only make short films and video art on my mobile phone. I share them on YouTube and Instagram. Most of my work explores humanity and its relationship with the city, and this way of working keeps me safe from censorship.
