In the backstages of a regional beauty contest, preparations for the show follow one another with almost mechanical precision. Makeup, hairstyles, frozen smiles : everything seems familiar. However, certain actions, inspections, and disturbing details gradually create a bad feeling. The candidates are observed, evaluated, and ranked with clinical coldness. Glamour gives way to an unrelenting logic where everyone knows the rules, without ever questioning them.

My name is Emma, I’m 23 years old. Passionate about cinema since childhood, I’m pursuing my dream of making it my profession. First through writing, then through screenwriting studies. Alongside my co-director, whose sensitivity feeds my own, I have also had the opportunity to move into directing.
