“She Who Sees” tells the story of a girl who spent her whole life never once finding herself beautiful. From childhood to adolescence, she never understood the way her mother looked at her, a gaze too tender, too truthful, one she pushed away without even realizing it. Years go by, and so does life. And it’s only when she becomes a mother herself, when she discovers in her daughter’s eyes the same light, the same certainty, that she finally understands what her own mother had always seen in her.
