"My Beauty, Is Your Face" is a personal film, born from absence. Through a poem and black-and-white images, I tried to capture what it feels like to miss someone you love deeply, someone who’s been taken from you for speaking out. My mother was unjustly imprisoned for 18 months. This film is my way of staying close to her. It’s a tribute to her strength, her silence, her dignity, and to a kind of beauty that resists, quietly but fiercely. It’s not just about her. It’s about every voice we try to silence. Every truth that refuses to die.
