At the beginning of the evening, Salomé gets ready to go out. Behind seemingly ordinary gestures lies a violent inner struggle: the need to present a smiling, acceptable image while facing a reflection that does not match who she wants to be. The pressure becomes unbearable, and the bathroom turns into the stage of her distress. What should have been a simple routine shifts into a destructive ritual, where guilt, disgust, and loss of control take over. The film explores the invisible violence of an inner battle and the self-destruction driven by the obsession with appearances.

Sibyline Borzakian

biography

I am Sibyline Borzakian, an actress with a singular background bridging science and music, and a filmmaker drawn to genre cinema and socially engaged stories. Apologie marks my first solo directing work, centered on our relationship with our own reflection.
