1950 is a choral film set in the 1950s. Through five distinct sequences, it explores moments of solitude and everyday gestures, when characters come face to face with their reflection. An African student, a Parisian bourgeois woman, a pre-yéyé English rocker, a mature Austrian, and a Belgian nun form this chorus. Each embodies a different way of approaching beauty or appearance, not as an object of display, but as an intimate and ordinary experience: doubt, resistance, control, bravado, or inwardness.

biography

Trained as a fashion photographer, I have worked for several decades with images, from portrait to visual storytelling. Cinema is a natural extension of this practice, a space where image, time and narrative allow a different exploration of human experience.
